Muax (alias Henry Fecherolle) is a German-Belgian musician, filmmaker, and former cycling influencer.
Since the 1980s, he has been playing drums in various bands, including “The Groovers.”
In October 2008, he gained attention by founding and broadcasting the internet show “Muax Enrico.” His studio at that time was his 12-square-meter kitchen (the famous Muax Studios). The show primarily focused on cycling. Due to numerous doping scandals involving various cyclists (Lance Armstrong, Jan Ullrich, etc.), German media had largely withdrawn from reporting on cycling after 2007. Fecherolle, as the character “Enrico Muax,” attempted to fill this gap and found resonance in the cycling scene among both fans and many active professional cyclists.
Between 2008 and 2015, Muax produced around 700 videos on the subject of cycling. Additionally, he created longer films.
As part of his show, he also integrated music and produced various songs. Among the best-known tracks were songs like “Alberto Contador mi amor,” “Vino, time to go home,” or the rap duet with André Greipel, “Ready to Fight,” which was broadcast worldwide on various TV channels during the 2015 Tour de France.
In late 2015, Muax retired from cycling and increasingly dedicated himself to music, especially trumpet playing. He began realizing his musical ideas away from the cycling context.
In 2021, he released his first album titled “From tomorrow, I’ll change my life…,” consisting of nine songs with German lyrics on themes such as love or social criticism.
This was followed by a single release of the track “Leck deinen Auspuff” as a remix with “Mareile.” A piece that denounces the general coarsening of drivers in traffic, a topic that Muax, as a committed cyclist, had already addressed several times.
In 2022, Muax released the EP “Impro Sessions,” a purely instrumental EP with a focus on trumpet and improvisation. In early 2023, the album “Trouble” was released, also an instrumental album with a focus on the trumpet. In February 2024, Muax’s new album “The Dictator Is Coming” has been released.
At the end of 2024, Muax released the single “Solo Gigolo”. One of his few cover songs. A tribute to the Belgian singer Arno Hintjens, who died in 2022.
Muax’s fourth album is currently in the works and is expected in March / April 2025.
